The Vipers Series:Warfare Prayers Scripture: Mark 16:17-18 , Matthew 3:7 Date: 13, October 2013 In Matt. 3, we have the record of a man of God who picked his words carefully and said exactly what he meant. This man, John the Baptist, was the forerunner of our Lord Jesus Christ. Matt 3:7 says, "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O! generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" John the Baptist called the Scribes, the Pharisees and Sadducees, "Vipers." Mark 16:17-18 says, "And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay their hands on the sick, and they shall recover." The five signs in that passage are: a.
