WHAT MANNER OF MAN IS THIS? Date: November 18, 2012 Scripture:  Mark 4:36-41 from The Series:    Revival Meetings Scripture Let us read together Mark 4:36-41 36  And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37  And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38  And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39  And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40  And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41  And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? Murder Date: October 7, 2012 Scripture:  Exodus 20:13; Proverbs 6:16-17; Matthew 5:21-22 from The Series:   Breaking Free: Seven Deadly Sins Introduction I copied this story this week. When Zoe was three years old, her Dad Sanders came home from work to find a crisis in his household. Zoe’s pet turtle had died, and she was crying as if her heart would break and her mother, having coped with the problems of the home all day, gladly turned this one over to the father to solve.  And frankly, he felt the death of his daughter’s turtle was a problem  was not up to solving. After all, the mysteries of life and death are difficult, if not impossible for the MATURE mind to fathom. The task of explaining them to a three-year-old would be next to impossible. But, at his wife’s insistence, he tried anyway. FIRST, he made the obvious argument that they would get another turtle to replace the one that died. They would go down to the pet store and buy anoth...
