The Fourth Man in the Furnace Date: June 26, 2011 Scripture: Daniel 3 from the series Daniel Introduction A book was written by Joshua Piven  The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook . Piven’s manual is based on interviews with experts in a variety of fields and it’s very handy in that it is organized into fairly self-contained sections with headings like this: “How to escape from quicksand,” “How to land a plane” and “How to break down a door.” There’s even a whole chapter called “How to Perform a Tracheotomy” on a friend or stranger.  Also one of the more interesting sections is entitled:“How To Survive If Your Parachute Fails to Open.” Here’s what it says: “First, signal to a jumping companion...” Piven doesn’t say what to do if you’re jumping solo.
