In case you weren’t here, I’m referring to a dream I often have in which it’s Sunday and I’m at church ready to do my sermon, when I look down and realize I’m wearing my pajamas. I also told you that sometimes that dream shifts—and I’m dressed okay but all of you are in your pajamas. Well, believe it or not, last week those two dreams merged into REALITY. The Fourth Man in the Furnace Date: June 26, 2011 Scripture: Daniel 3 from the series Daniel Introduction A book was written by Joshua Piven  The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook . Piven’s manual is based on interviews with experts in a variety of fields and it’s very handy in that it is organized into fairly self-contained sections with headings like this: “How to escape from quicksand,” “How to land a plane” and “How to break down a door.” There’s even a whole chapter called “How to Perform a Tracheotomy” on a friend or stranger.  Also one of the more interesting sections is entitled:“How To Survive If Your Parachute Fails to Open.” Here’s what it says: “First, signal to a jumping companion...” Piven doesn’t say what to do if you’re jumping solo.
